The different numbers you may see following the product names indicate the weight capacity of the moving panel, in Kilograms (kg). Simple conversion 1 kg = 2.2 lbs (100 kg = 220 lbs, etc.).
PLEASE NOTE: Although it does not indicate in the name, any “MATIC” or “SELF” System has a weight capacity of 200 lbs per moving panel and the EXTENDO System has a capacity of 250 lbs per moving panel.
- Klein does not supply any ADA Compliant door pulls. If your project must meet these requirements, a 3rd party pull should be specified/supplied.

Frameless Glass Doors are inherently more difficult to add locks to. In most cases, you will need to plan ahead and account for a “patch-fitting” type locking mechanism that will pin to either the floor or wall. The most economical way to lock your sliding glass door is with a floor locking ladder pull. Make sure you think about this aspect of your project early on, it will save you time in the end.

- With all Klein Sliding Doors, the only weight you need to support is that of the track (at most, 4 lbs/lineal foot) and the weight of the moving panel assembly (at most, 250 lbs/panel). All fixed panels are dead load or floor supported. Any engineering needed would be completed by the Architect or Contractor.
- The material of the structure is also optional. Our tracks, whether wall or ceiling mount, can be directly attached to wood, concrete or steel.
Currently, most Klein Products only come in Clear Anodized Aluminum Finish (think MacBook Case). If you would like to consider a custom color, please contact your local rep here: klein-usa.com/findyourrep/

No. For a door to be both sliding and breakaway, it would require our clamps to both roll AND pivot, which would require them to be twice as large in order to accommodate the weight. This is an option we have decided to forego to focus more on aesthetic systems.

Contact logistics@klein-usa.com if you were not provided with a tracking number when you received your shipping notification email.
Due to the unusual size, shape and fragility of our products, we had to get a bit clever when it came to shipping. Our products are shipped in strong, durable, and recyclable, rigid cardboard tubes. Some up to 20’ long! Although we do our best to get all our orders to you safely, there is always a chance our carriers are not as careful as we would like. If you receive a product that arrives broken or damages in any way, please place a claim immediately. Take pictures and contact us so we may get you a replacement right away. - Most Klein Systems are designed to use ½” (12mm) thick glass. Some systems can also accommodate 3/8” (10mm) thick glass for up to 8’ tall ceilings. Our new Panoramic System can handle up to 5/8” (15mm) thick fixed glass panels for higher acoustic performance.
- Yes, you may also use Laminated Glass with our products. Both tempered monolithic or laminated glass will work within our pressure clamps. If you are planning on using a special or non-typical interlayer (fabric, natural wood, etc.) please let us know so we can get some additional information.
- Becoming more popular, Surface Applied Films can also be applied to either or both sides of any of our glass products. We do stress that the roller clamps are installed prior to any films to ensure a good bonding contact between the glass and pressure clamp.

- As each of our products is specifically created for each use, each product has specific dimensions used to calculate glass sizes. You can view our Glass Size Calculator here: (link to Glass Size Calc page here).
- IMPORTANT: All Glass Sizing should be confirmed by your Glazier or Installer. Site conditions play an important role in a successful frameless glass installation. Due to the fact sliding doors typically operate over a longer span of floor space in a single plane, un-level floors, high spots, floor covering conditions, etc. can all impact the function of your doors. Glass must be measured accordingly before ANY fabrication should take place. Once glass is tempered or laminated, it cannot be “re-sized” or “trimmed” on or off site. If you have other questions, please contact your local rep here: klein-usa.com/findyourrep/
Make sure you know or indicate in your request/specifications if you wish to have the track hardware recessed or exposed. There are cost and installation implications for most recessed installations. Some products use a different track profile to aid in recessing it in to the ceiling, so please let us know.
Extendo
At most, Klein’s Extendo line can have 2 moving panels in a single direction. They can both go Left, or both go Right. Or they can be put together in a bi-parting application. They can cover an opening of up to 100” in one direction (200” in bi-parting application). These dimensions are dependent on your ceiling height. If you have an opening wider than this you would like to cover, we would offer this system to be installed with additional fixed glass panels. Extendo is already designed to accommodate this type of installation.
The number that follows the Extendo Line indicated how many moving panels you will have synchronized to cover your door opening.
- Extendo 2 (2-Left or 2-Right) *Most Common FOR: 49-100” wide clear openings
- Extendo 3 (2-Left, 1-Right or 1-Left, 2-Right) FOR: 68-109” wide clear openings
- Extendo 4 (2-Left, 2-Right), 1 push/pull operates 4 panels simultaneously FOR: 94-122” CO
- Extendo 2+2 (2-Left, 2-Right, only synchronized with panel in similar direction) *Most Common FOR: 98-200” wide clear openings
- Note: your maximum clear opening is also dependent on the height of your opening. See graph here of clear opening (CO) size in relation to door height (Extendo Chart)
- Extendo Corner (2-Left, 2-Right around a 90° corner) *Acts as an Extendo 2+2
Currently, no. The track profile for the Extendo has been designed as thin as possible. Because of this, there is not enough room to fit the width of 2 or 3 inch or more thick panels side-by-side. However, there are digitally printed interlayers on the market for use in laminated glass that can be used to give you the same look with the easier maintenance of glass. Contact your local glass supplier to get samples!
Yes! Like many Klein products, the Extendo comes with a special trim piece that makes installing this system recessed in to the ceiling much easier. Please indicate on your request or specifications if you would like this option. It does typically increase your installation costs but can be worth it for a more minimal and modern look. The choice is yours!
Yes! The Extendo System is capable of being installed in to a pocket. Something to consider when doing this, there may be the need for small adjustments or maintenance in the future (adjusting door stops that move, replace a broken or damaged door panel, etc.) If you can add hidden access panels this may avoid additional costs in the future.
- The other options for door “parking” are against any type of wall exposed or against a piece of identical fixed glass.
- IMPORTANT: When accounting for “parking” space, assume you will need 4-6” inches more depth than your widest single door panel. Width of pocket can be as wide as track profile.
You can use this helpful tool to estimate the size of your glass. If this does not solve your problem, please reach out to your local rep. (Rep Link) (Glass Size Estimator Link)
We typically recommend a ladder or raised style pull. Due to the fact you are moving 2, 3 or 4 panels at a time, it will provide a sturdier handle to operate the doors. Even with up to 1000 pounds of moving weight, the clever belt and pulley system pre-installed in the track is designed to reduce that weight down to no more than 5 lbs of operating force!
Panoramic
Klein USA’s new Panoramic System offers businesses the ultimate flexibility in office design without sacrificing aesthetics.
- Unique Features
- Recess upper and lower track more easily
- Same track profile for single or double glazed fixed walls
- No vertical mullions needed
- Polycarbonate glass joints and snap on fascia to ease installation
- Thicker 5/8” (15mm) fixed glass capable

RollGlass
The size of your system is determined by the size (weight) of your door. The larger door opening you want and the taller your ceilings, the higher the system you will require.
The different numbers you may see following the product name (RollGlass 90, 100, 135, 175) indicate the weight capacity of the moving panel, in Kilograms (kg). Simple conversion 1 kg = 2.2 lbs (100 kg = 220 lbs, etc.)
The dimensions of your doors depend on 3 factors:
- What is my desired Clear Opening (CO)? *The dimension of the door opening when slider is in full open position.
- What type of handle/pull am I going to use? *ADA pulls usually need a 4” overhang to meet code.
- How tall are my ceilings? *typically, the taller your ceilings, the narrower your door openings will be.
- To estimate the weight of your doors, see our glass weight calculating tool (link)
Yes, we have a self-closing system for RollGlass called RollGlass Self. It can handle door weights of up to 200 lbs and uses an adjustable mechanical (non-electric) belt and spring system.
UnikGlass
No, none of Klein’s products use electrical motors or need plugging in of any kind. They are all manually powered and mechanically assisted where needed.
When you see “Matic” added to one of our product lines (RolMatic, UnikMatic, etc.) it indicates that the bi-parting doors are synchronized. This gives you the ability to move both panels (open or close) with a single operating force. RolMatic is a bi-parting door system with fixed glass sidelites, UnikMatic is a bi-parting door system for doors that park in front of walls or pockets.
At the moment, no. That is because the belts and pulleys that are used in these operations occupy the same space in the tracks. The track profile would have to be increased significantly to be able to fit both systems, making it no longer viable.
