Healthy and Harmonious Environments with NATURE

Architect Nereida de la Mata has integrated her signature architectural thinking into the design of the OnePlaceBCN coworking space. She transformed the space, a former warehouse located in Barcelona, into a specialized co-working environment for architects. Here, sustainability is approached with a special sensitivity, where environmental impact is central to all the materials chosen.

Wood was chosen to be the central design element of this space with a Nordic and minimalist design. It features birch for the custom-made furniture, from light fixtures and benches to shelving. For the flooring, a laminated oak was used to provide warmth throughout the space.

Made to integrate with the whole design, both aesthetically and conceptually, the team opted for the installation of the NATURE oak sliding system by KLEIN. The system was chosen as a key element to separate the office area from the kitchen area.

NATURE is an innovative system of eco-friendly oak wood profiles for sliding doors and glass partitions. It was selected because it is in line with the philosophy of the project, and enhances the harmony of the entire space. For the first time, KLEIN managed to standardize a traditionally handcrafted product, achieving a beautiful and sustainable wooden guide system. It was designed to organize the interiors and provide warmth and materiality without detracting from the project’s qualities of transparency and spaciousness.

OneplaceBCN was created as an iconic space, and it enables a more private environment both acoustically and functionally when necessary. All that’s needed is to slide the door. Because one movement changes everything.

The profile section of the wooden frames, meticulously considered and designed, work in multiple ways and contexts, whether with the verticality of walls or the horizontality of floor slabs. It creates delicate details in the renovation of spaces with history.

The user experience, always fundamental in the design of KLEIN products, is optimized because NATURE incorporates the KSC-Soft Closing braking system, which ensures a soft closing. The result is a total absence of bouncing, both in opening and closing, creating a quiet and seamless element in the work space.

NATURE is KLEIN’s new way to create and live in healthier and more sustainable
